The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas sponsor a number of events to help students, teachers and the general public learn more about math, science and our industry. We are committed to giving back to the communities we live and work in.
Community STEM Nights.
Working alongside the people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas, these events highlight STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) career opportunities by partnering with organizations, museums and universities. Our goal is to get K-12 kids engaged in STEM and inspired to be future scientists and engineers by bringing free science, technology, engineering and math exhibits to communities all across Oklahoma.
Grant opportunities.
The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas are committed to preparing the next generation through investments in STEM education. Each year, we provide grants that support innovative classroom instruction, robotics, engineering, drones, and other hands-on learning opportunities that inspire students and strengthen Oklahoma’s future workforce.
Partnering to make a difference.
The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas partner with schools and organizations to support energy education, career readiness, and community STEM events. Schools that host an OERB Energy Education Workshop also receive a $2,000 STEM grant to enhance STEM learning opportunities for their students.
Student Board of Directors.
Calling all future leaders! The OERB Student Board of Directors is comprised of 30 high school juniors and seniors from across Oklahoma looking to lead, connect and give back. After successfully completing a one-year term, OERB Student Board of Directors members will receive a $2,000 scholarship to the university or trade school of their choice.
Top Teachers.
The people of Oklahoma oil and natural gas are proud to recognize the incredible efforts of our outstanding teachers. Each school year, we select top educators from hundreds of applicants across the state.
Selected teachers receive a cash award in recognition of their dedication and impact in the classroom.

Petro Pros.
Share your expertise and inspire the next generation with the OERB’s Petro Pros program! Teach students about the oil and natural gas industry through hands-on tools like fossils, drill bits and maps, or connect virtually. We provide all training and materials – just bring your passion!
