Lindsey Miles is responsible for a team of more than 100 energy professionals and oversees more than 2 million net acres located within the most prolific oil and natural gas plays in the United States. Miles started at Devon in 2008 where she worked as a landman responsible for Devon’s assets in the Barnett Shale. Subsequently and throughout her tenure, she managed, respectively, Devon’s Midcontinent, Texas Panhandle and Delaware Basin land teams. Prior to joining Devon, Miles was a landman for GMX Resources where she gained experience working their East Texas assets. She began her oil and gas career in 2001 at the CLS Group where she worked as a land technician.

Miles holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master’s in energy management from Oklahoma City University. She is a Certified Professional Landman and was named Landman of the Year in 2016 by the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen.

An active member of both the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen (OCAPL), Miles has served both associations through volunteerism on various committees, including many years of leadership service as an officer of the board for both OCAPL and AAPL. Miles has further contributed to the energy industry through her involvement with the AAPL Education Foundation, the Landman Scholarship Trust, and the NAPE Operators Committee.

Seeking to expand her impact into the local non-profit community, Miles participated in the Oklahoma City United Way Board Serve Program in 2017. Upon completion of the program, she was asked to serve on the board of directors for the YWCA of Oklahoma City where she has been a member of and chaired several YWCA board committees. Miles is currently serving her second term as the YWCA of OKC Board Chair, and she recently concluded her term as a trustee of the Oklahoma Contemporary board of trustees.

Miles values time spent with friends and family, investing in others and the community, and working to better the oil and gas industry and the land profession. She lives in Oklahoma City, Okla. with her husband, Taylor, and their three children, Isaac (8), Aubree (9), Adi (11).
