Christopher Hyde is the Development Team HSE Director for Flywheel Energy. Chris previously served as the Vice President of EHS, Regulatory Compliance & Government Relations at 89 Energy as well as various EHS Management roles at Marathon Oil. He has more than 17 years of oil and gas experience, both domestically and internationally. In his current position, he manages the Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of Flywheel Energy’s Development organization which includes their Drilling & Completion operations.

Born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, he has a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Technology from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science in Energy Management from Oklahoma City University. He also holds a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and has completed Executive Education – Leading Innovative Change at the University of California, Berkeley.
