The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas recognize the Top Teachers of 2022

The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas have awarded eleven teachers with $5,000 dollars for being recognized as one of the Top Teachers of 2022.

The teachers were selected out of more than 200 nominations for their outstanding work in engaging students and helping develop the next generation of leaders. The award was originally planned to go to the top ten teachers, but eleven were selected due to a tie. The winners are:

Julie Rother- Okarche Public Schools

Aryn Gaskins- Cushing Lower Elementary

Diana Wallis- Konawa Public Schools

Felicia Wilson- Putterbaugh Middle School- McAlester

Jessica Thompson- Kingston Elementary School

Katherine Hergenrether- Eisenhower Senior High- Lawton

Lindsay Floyd- Buchanan Elementary- Oklahoma City

Lisa Steadman- Woodward Public Schools

Nikki Tolbert- Kenneth Cooper Middle School- Putnam City

Rick Johnson- Madison Middle School- Bartlesville

Teresa Hugaboom- Hennessey Early Childhood Center

 

Their respective schools will also receive $2,000.

“One of our core missions is supporting education,” said Oklahoma Energy Resources Board Executive Director Mindy Stitt. “The people of Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas are passionate about recognizing teachers for their efforts in creating the next generation of leaders.”

The OERB is funded by the more than 2,500 producers and thousands of royalty owners across Oklahoma through a voluntary one-tenth of 1 percent assessment on oil and natural gas production.
