Rick Lewis is President of Lewis Oil Corporation, owner of the R.J. Lewis Oil Company and Trustee of the Lewis Family Mineral Trust. Rick and his wife Amy reside in the Stillwater area, where he graduated high school in 1981. He attended Oklahoma State University from 1982 to 1987. In 1986, he started his petroleum career by purchasing wells from the major oil companies that were leaving the state. He currently operates mostly stripper wells in Oklahoma. He is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation, a member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA) Board of Directors and previously served on the Oklahoma Energy Education Fund Board. Rick also serves on the NE Oklahoma Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute (API) Board and is a member of the National Stripper Well Association.
