Curtis Johnson’s career started in the financial services sector working as an Investment Advisor for Prudential Financial. Within a few years, Johnson had the opportunity to partner with a private wealth management company at Spirit Bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A lifelong Oklahoman with deep family ties to the oil patch, Curtis soon found himself drawn to the energy sector. He began his oil and gas career with Cimarex Energy Co. (now Coterra Energy Inc.) in the Gulf Coast region, where he developed a strong foundation in exploration and production operations.
In 2015, he partnered with Citizen Energy in its early stages as a Senior Landman. Over the following years, he played a key role in helping Citizen Energy grow into one of the largest private operators in the region, ultimately contributing to its successful sale to Validus Energy in late 2024. Following that transaction, he founded and now serves as Managing Partner of 320 Holdings and 320 Exploration.
Johnson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Finance degree from Evangel University. He has served on the boards of the Tulsa Association of Professional Landmen and the Tulsa Autism Foundation and remains an active member of the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Associations of Professional Landmen, the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma, and the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Outside of work, Johnson enjoys spending time with his family and can often be found on the basketball court or football field coaching his two kids in Owasso, OK.
