A. Hearne Williford

A. Hearne Williford is the owner and manager of Williford Resources, LLC, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Williford started his company in 2000, and currently operates approximately 165 wells located primarily in Southern Oklahoma and the Four Corners Region of Colorado. Williford maintains two field production offices, one located near Lone Grove, Oklahoma, and the other near Marvel, Colorado. Prior to starting his own company, Williford worked for Williford Energy Company from 1979 to 2000. His work experience at Williford Energy began as a petroleum engineer responsible for all facets of petroleum engineering (1979-1986). During his tenure with Williford Energy Company, he also held managerial positions responsible for engineering (1986-1988), and for acquisitions, exploitation and exploration (1988-1991). Williford served as Vice President of Exploration and Engineering (1991-1995) and as president of the company (1995-2000). Williford began his professional career with Amoco Production Company in 1978. His experience with Amoco included responsibilities as a primary operations engineer in Odessa, Texas (1978-1979), and as a reservoir engineer in Houston, Texas (1979). Williford graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978, with a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA), and is a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Tulsa Geological Society (TGS). Williford served the State of Oklahoma as a Commissioner for the Commission on Marginally Producing Oil and Gas Wells (2006-2013), and he is currently serving on the Committee for Sustaining Oklahoma’s Energy Resources (SOER).

Williford has been married to his wife Pam since 1981 and they have two adult children. The Willifords reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
